North of the Narrows Fire District was established in 1994. If you own property on the east side of the lake from Bear Creek to the Sandpiper Shores neighborhoods, you are a member of the North of the Narrows Fire District and receive fire protection services from NNFD. In addition to fire protection, your stay at the lake has been made safer by the development of an emergency landing zone just off East Shore Road that can accommodate medical evacuations by helicopter.

Chief Scott Robinson joined NNFD in 2022. He brings 30+ years of fire fighting experience across the Western U.S. to our community and has been a paramedic for 25 years. Scott holds numerous certifications in wildland and structural firefighting. He has earned Medal of Valor Awards for his heroic contributions during a gas explosion with three critical patients and for saving a drowning victim. He earned the Fire Department Exemplary Service Award for Water Safety and has received several Letters of Commendation for community service and job performance.
We are extremely fortunate to have Scott head up our fire department. He is passionate about firefighting, helping others, serving and keeping our community safe.
Our volunteers are the reason for our continued success and provide the critically needed extra help during the summer. The NNFD provides training to volunteers year-round: weekly during spring/summer, and monthly training the rest of the year. The service of our dedicated staff and volunteers does not go unnoticed.
2025 Training begins Saturday, May 3rd, and is every Saturday through August 30 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the fire station, or as designated.
